Isn't ZZ Top's bassist Dusty Hill? I thought Frank Beard was their Drummer.
Also try early Black Sabbath when they were very bluesy.

One of the best bluesier bass players IMO was Rory Gallagher's bass player, whatever his name was, I've always really like his bass playing, especially live.

I have the Rory Gallagher Live at Montreux DVD it has him from 3 different years and there's some amazzzing bass on there.. And good **** from Rory too!
