Hi everyone,

just wanted to let you guys know that we have finished another slackers cd entitled, "Self Medication." Its on the indication label, the same label that put out the last pietasters cd. Its distributed by Red Eye in the USA.

We recorded about 35 tracks over the last year. The first release from these was Boss Harmony sessions which was an appetizer.

Now we are serving the main course. Right now its supposed to be released in April. We will let you know more as the release date approaches.

thanks for all the support.

Dave

Due out April 15th and will feature 12 tracks.

Excited.

Wow, if the Boss Harmony Sessions was just a sample, I am disgustingly excited for this album.

I'll have a heart attack if this record tops Redlight.

That album art is bitchin'. Passed out girls in skimpy clothes = good music.

I thought Stza was playing with him in that little side project, the Star Fucking Hipsterz. Has he moved on to be LOC's newest drummer? If so I'm stoked (still sad their old drummer died).

Yeah, man, his name's Ara, he's been playing with them since like 2005 or something. cuz Brandon died like at the end of '04.

Oh shit I had no clue. Although what does it matter, they love calling hiatus as often as they can, just like CV. Not to mention their work on "Deadline" was atrocious. The band is dying, sad to say.

Dude, Ezra's been kicked out so many times, it's hilarious. But why don't we talk about them in the LOC thread? :p:

You're a smart guy, I like you.

The Slackers are awesome. I can't even imagine how many times I've sung along to "So this is the Night."

For mguitar class in school, we sometimes have to do "showcases" where we do somethign that isn't ucrriculum, like a song we listen to or w/e

So I did "Come Back Baby" everyone was loving it, and one guy was like doing "ooh-ee-oohs" in the background too it, It made me feel good =)

That is probably my most played Slackers song.

The Slackers were a really good punk rock band from Huntsville, AL. They were one of the only bands (other than Green Day) to ever be kicked out of 924 Gilman St. Why? Because Robert their guitarist told the joke "How many lesbians does it take to screw in a light bulb? 2. One to screw in the light bulb and one to suck my dick" over and over again.

Members of The Slackers went on to be in Joey Tampon and the Toxic Shocks.

Joey "Tampon" is now a baptist minister at the church down the street.
Robert is now in The Counterclockwise
Heiko is now in One Man Army

and the rest of them did other stuff too.

I love, love, love the Slackers. I have four of their albums and it still feels like I've only experienced the tip of the iceberg. Rider is their best song by far.

Love the Slackers. They put on a real good show too! Feed My Girl once cured a headache I'd gotten...
