Andrew Jackson Jihad is the only folk punk band I'm really into.

'Tis a shame their singer is allergic to cats.

I find a lot of these folk punk bands pretty boring. They all sound the same.

I don't know if they are classed as folk punk or not but The Country Teasers are just the best (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=142534574) They are more contryish I guess but the are wicked.

Someone mentioned the Weakerthans, who are amazing. They're not really punk, but still so great.

I'm not really into folk punk enough to know about this kind of thing (I've got some TBIAPB albums and the first Against Me! album) but Jello Biafra with Mojo Nixon is a good album to get a hold of that might be considered folk punk. Maybe.

I'm a hardcore kid, after all.

I've got Jello Biafra ad Mojo Nixon.
It's more swing/bluegrass or something.

I was never a folk fan so I wouldn't notice what constitutes folk-punk.

Either way, anything Biafra does is awesome.

Dude, their singer used to be in Propaghandi which was all the rage on this forum back in 03. THEY ARE PUNK!
Haha. Maybe not, but they were considered folk rock and the guy used to be punk so it works for me.

which one? You should buy the 7" my housemate put out.

It's the Ghost Dance CD. Saw it at a local store in the folk section for $8.. not bad for 20 songs, I'd say.

Buying a 7" would do me no good since I don't have a turntable.

I'm so jealous you already have that. Hope they don't take a long time shipping out their CD to me. How many tracks? Only the ones on their myspace or more?

RockThe40oz
03-17-2008, 10:38 AM
There are 13 tracks.. all good except one song that's entirely too country for my taste.. Hopefully they won't take too long to ship, but they have been on tour, so I don't know if they'll be able to get it out right away.

It's definitely worth the money and the wait, though.

RockThe40oz
04-01-2008, 09:18 PM
a lot of people get confused with soulseek for some reason...

search.... wait... pick one that isn't gray if you want it to download immediately... you can also right-click and say "download containing folder"... considering most people on soulseek keep their music folders clean, that usually is the same as "download entire album"
