I am playing an Epiphone LP at the moment, and am having trouble getting by big fingers to play the D and A chord cleanly. I know this will come with practice, but out of curiosity are there guitars with bigger (wider) frets than the LP? Or is that a standard size?

Epi LPs have a shorter scale so the frets are a little closer together than a strat.

im not to sure bout epiphone LP's but i played my friends Gibson les paul deluxe and its got some big ass frets, and i played my one school teachers Gibson LP standard (he teaches the guitar class) and it had some big ass frets to, so im not sure bout Epi's but you can definately go out and buy a new neck for ur guitar (unless its a neck through) and bolt it on, i know my friend did that cuz he wanted a nice thin neck instead of a big beefy ass neck on a BC Rich not quite sure about prices for necks tho
