Looking for some bands with female vocalists
View Full Version : Looking for some bands with female vocalists
Hi,
My band is currently fishing for its own distinctive sound, but we really can't find anything. We're looking for something that fits with our female vocalist...
So, I'm asking you guys if you know any good bands with a singerwoman up front. That would really help us out, we need some good influences (: any genre will do!
Thanks in advance,

Try and check out The Sounds, the vocalist in the band has a great voice suited to disco rock, I'm sure you'll enjoy listening to them!

I'm guessing as always no one is gonna look at my recommendations, but whatever.
Mira (dream-pop/shoegaze)
Portishead (trip-hop)
Massive Attack (trip-hop, dual vocalists as in male and female)
Alkonost (folk/black metal)
The River (doom metal)
Epica (gothic/power metal, one of the few of those bands I"d recommend)
Arkona (folk/heavy metal)
Dresden Dolls (cabaret punk or something like that).
oh and do NOT touch Paramore. Musical AIDS if there ever was one
theres opeth
Que? There were NEVER female vocals in Opeth
