Ok, so I was reading through the two John Mayer threads and looks like there's some who love him and others who don't.

I'm curious as to what you guys might think of Mike Zito (http://www.mikezito.com/ecards/zito_today.html) cause some have likened him to John Mayer or Johnny Lang, but then again it's all subjective.

Thoughts?

right on! I am right there with ya.

Yeah, I'm gonna go see Zito at the House of Blues in L.A. later this month.

If you're in L.A. here are some shows you can catch: LA Shows (http://www.mikezito.com/ecards/lashows.html)

Mike Zito

Zito's all good, fresh, inspired, no pussyfooting, genuine.

cause some have likened him to John Mayer

JM fans who won't admit JM is bored with music and wants to boss people around making movies.

Johnny Lang, but then again it's all subjective.

Johnny Lang's stuck in a rut musicwise. I don't know enough to explain why.

Zito sounds a lot more like Popa Chubby than both above though.

I'm not the only one who's intrigued by the validity of that statement

Mayer is pretty much the only current bluesy songwriter widely recognized today and it's quite a shame. I really like Zito and you guys should also check out Eric Lindell, he is great as well.

The first album, Change in the Weather is the better one imo.
