Grant Green

Grant Green is my favorite Jazz guitarist. His playing is so smooth and effortless. His soloing usually sticks close to the melody and original key/chord progression, but his variations on the melody are imaginative, varied and always interesting.

Grant Green is great. Very single-line oriented, which makes for a change among jazz guitarists.
