Why punk? Listen to some blues, folk, roots music or something like that. Unless you are too hardcore for that.

You're sick of heavy stuff? Why not listen to something lighter than punk? Phish for example. They were a jam band influenced by rock, funk, jazz and other genres and make really uplifting music. Check out the songs The Divided Sky, Free and Ghost. Preferably live.
