Hey, i was looking up the chord progression for La Folia (great piece look it up on youtube if you have never heard it) so i can get the feel of it on my guitar

In the key of D minor one of the chords is dmA7, and im just curious, how do i play that?

And incase you liked the piece
/DM___ /A7___ /DM___ /C___ /F___ /C___ /DM___ /A7___ /
/DM___ /A7___ /DM___ /C___ /F___ /C___ /dm A7__/DM___ /

is the chord progression :)

There is no such thing as dmA7, though I'm not sure what is meant to be played there.

this might be a stupid suggestion on my part but maybe DmA7 is a typo and there is supposed to be a space there

meaning Dm and A7

maybe he means diminished A7?

in that case it would be 1,b3,b5,b7

am i right? :p

if affirmative, a chord would be:

e:---
B:-1-
G:-0-
D:-1-
A:-0-
E:---

Does it not mean half a bar of Dm followed by half a bar of A7?

Edit; I'm pretty sure it does because it's required for the perfect cadence ;)

I can confirm that it should read Dm7 - A7. The voicings I use are attached.
