awwwh, Irongoat, you have my sympathies.

it would be cool if we had some kind of way to recognize each other.... I'm think UG tshirts, but it's less than a week away. would be good for future stuff though... maybe the mods could consider it?

we should all wear iron maiden tshirts. that'd be original lol.
/sarcasm.

the gates open about 3 o' clock don't they? and theres a big wait for Iron Maiden to actually come on. Will the gates be shut by then does anyone know?

are they playing the old stuff or the new ****e
****e?

They're playing stuff from 1980-1989, most of which is included on their somewhere back in time CD.

I don't know about the gate closing times, but Maiden are on at 8:15, with 3 support acts on before them.

Are you calling the stuff bad?
I LOVE the new stuff, it's better then any other band I've heard.

No modern metal band can compete with newer Maiden (AMOLAD is just a FANTASTIC album). Fact.

Old Maiden is equally good as well.

=[

The support acts are the only part I'm not looking forward to.

Lauren Harris is meh and Within Temptation are alright, but I hate A7X.

I am going with my two mates and I can't bloody wait!!

The only problem I have is having the bladder capacity of a pipette and i'm gonna be standing for 7+ hours!
Still gonna be an awesome gig though!!

I hope none of the support acts get bottled though just because elitists don't like them. Even If you knew you were in a band that was going to get **** from an established bands fans, I hardly think Avenged Sevenfold would pass on the offer of supporting Maiden in front of 55,000 people.

I'm going too!! YAAAAY :D

****ing psyched for it

A7X are great but the other 2 support are wankage

btw im gonna be wearing a navy powerslave t-shirt and getting there as early as possible but dunno how im getting there yet and what im doing after it!

Demonbreed

Im going! Only I just checked the weather forecast and it looks to be a washout. Which wont be good.
But on the other hand it wont be bad either. I mean seeing the Best Band in the Entire ****ing world with one of the best Setlists ever, makes the rain seem nothing more than a mere obstacle.
Up the Irons!

P.S - If anyone has got coaches (National Express) down to see Maiden, have you heard anything about refunds? because apparently, i read somewhere that the event organisers have made it so that the coaches miss the first 2 support acts, and there would be refunds being made for inconvenience.

I would have gone but couldn't be arsed going to London to see them. I've seent hem twice already anyway.

I sorta could have gone.. maybe.

Maiden has just come on the radio as well!

Does anyone know if it will be broadcast live on anything?

Thing is, if I went I'd just be dissapointed when they didn't play a couple of personal favourites (I think most of the material on Fear Of The Dark is very interesting).

Edit - I guess you know a band is class when you want them to play almost all their songs.

PS - Murray and Smith (and the other one) are class acts, they have some of the best tones I have ever heard. Blues0rz, yet metalaz, yet classical sounding. A tone worth chasing!

I'd go to see that feat of fashion engineering alone.
Sadly I'm not going, spending the day and night with my girlfriend in London instead.

It says that on all tickets. Like at Wembley Stadium the tickets say the same i think. I'm taking mine.
Hopefully it gets through, or it will be mucho annoying, and i don't know what will happen to my camera.
It's only a normal digital thing, not a huge zoom thing so there shouldn't be a problem. Should there??

Up the Irons!!!

I was wondering the same. Mine is quite small and sleek. It can probably fit in my sock. I hear thats a good place to hide stuff.
Its zoom is okay, but I think it will be 'no cameras regardless' policy. Im sure other people will manage to get in with them through certain means. Only Im going to be sticking with my phone. Its good enough, and I dont wanna lose/ break my camera either.

Maiden were Phucking amazing. One of the best shows I've seen, if not THE best.

And them playing Rhyme of the ancient mariner! I thought I would never see it but they did it.... I can die now, happy and fulfilled.

Thank you and good night, I'm spent.

Apparantly, The reason A7X went off early is someone passed out and they didnt want him to get more hurt.

True. They stopped the last song as it would be too much hassle to restart so they called it a night.

And that gig was ****ing amazing. Best gig of the decade. Fact!
Anyone who disagrees can suck a cactus.

I took my time to comment, but that was amazing. Loved watching the wave of bottles flying below me (i had seated tickets). Shame about A7x stopping unholy confessions tho... I was sorely disappointed. and i managed to get my phone in fine, i didnt even get searched!
