All right, the song started off as a black metal number, but then by the end I had added some Opeth like quality to the music. And, it has a solo, which is another oddity for me. Quite shreddy, but stays in key, so that's nice.

Enjoy.

some of it was ok, but the noises were kinda annoying
i'd give it a 3.5 out of 5

did much care for it to be honest, it was all too random and the use of the acoustic ruined the song in many parts, the solo had some good points but took too long to get started and the beginning was sub-par.

Really? I didn't think it was THAT random.

In fact, it sounds pretty linear (not in the pop sense...).

Honestly I didnt like it much at all.
The acoustic killed it.
Some riffs are easily keepers though

I quite liked it. Some of the tremelo picking riffs had an almost 'nautical' quality to them, and the acoustic guitar work was quite good and helped to add variety to it, but it all seemed slightly scrambled. I liked the solo, none of it seemed too forced in, and it gave the song a good kind of progressive feel.

Sorry if the crit is a bit rubbish, it's 1:00 in the morning at I barely slept at all last, and I had too much caffeine :p:

Crit mine? (http://ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=907281)

Oh, definitely. Their newer stuff is decent, but their early stuff is just awesome (Dusk...And Her Embrace is probably in my top 5 black metal albums now).

Meh, I need to give the new stuff a better listen, I only listened to like one song...and I got fed up with it. I'll try it with an open mind this time, though.

Then I pity you. You've never heard any good music.
Sorry, TS, I don't like this.
It seems too spasmodic, I couldn't settle and get into it.
Sorry.
