Well this was pretty frustrating to make.

I didn't pay any attention to time signatures or measures or anything, so I don't care how correct it is... it sounds pretty accurate and that's all I need :p:

Any and all comments welcome

No problem Jim, I probably won't get around to any others, but Autumn Eyes is in the same tuning as this

Nothing much to say, some weird time signatures but everything flowed nice and sounded great. Good job.

Did you make this? Just wanna make sure, because I don't know what that little exchange between you jimtaka was...

The intro was alright, but I didn't like that 5h7p5p0 part. It sounded out of key.

I loved bar 11, but it sounded... out of time in the last few bars. I don't know if it was intentional or not, but I'm guessing it was since you said everything sounded right... I suppose it's just weird listening to it and not having the time signature changes there to look at.

Loved bar 23.

Yeah, this is a pretty good song, but it got boring after a while. I'm guessing vocals would fix that though.

I don't really like the way this song starts out, but it really picks up at bar 3. Then the tempo changes really adds a whole new aspect to the song. Then bars 11-14 are just amazing. And bars 15-17 is a great transition back into the 2nd theme. Bar 23 adds another aspect to the song, this seems to be a pattern you have, nice touch. I would like to hear bars 27-31 repeated an extra 2x though, I think it would add more to the song. Overall though, I really like this piece. Very mellow and laid back, even with the accelerating tempo. It could use vocals over it, but the main themes were really good, and if you just listen, rather than focus on the tab itself, all the time changes and tempo changes aren't bothersome. I really liked it - just make a recording of yourself playing it or something and that would sound much better.

Man, a lot of people don't like that part! Lol, I don't get it, it sounds fine to me

Must be all that contemporary classical I'm used to hearing, kinda throws off my perception of normal melody :p:

Yes I made it myself, but Jim did me the honor of wanting a tab of the song, so I was more than happy to go ahead and make one

Yeah it's meant to sound that way :)

At least it's not boring to play :p:

You really wanted that section to be repeated a couple more times? That seems strange to me, because it's the most dominant little phrase throughout the entire piece, I would have thought people would want to hear less of it

Thanks everyone for commenting, I'll go ahead and check out your pieces

Ok, so I heard the recording. I up my rating to 10/10.

If you don't mind me asking, why did the recording improve your opinion of the piece?

I really liked it, if only it played nicely on powertab.

I also listened to your recording of the song and I have to say that you're talented, very good job.

Overall this was a nice, melodic, and somewhat relaxing piece. The intro served this well - the only reason the parts at the end of the first bar and in the second sounded out of place might be because of the lack of the 'let ring' option. I put it on and it sounded more fitting, but I thought it was fine either way - I'm used to hearing little quirks like that. The third and fourth bars reminded me of Lord of the Rings, oddly enough. From bars 11 onward, though, it was great. The sections had a nice flow, and it was uplifting, in a sense. The only qualms I have is the use of the harmonics at bar 19 - they probably sound better in the actual recording, but it sticks out a bit too much in the tab.

This was a good piece. There's not enough acoustic songs like this in this forum, it's always either epic metal or post-hardcore, it seems. :p:

Crit mine? I don't know how much you like metal, but you should enjoy the acoustic sections:

I really liked the riff in bar #11. I think you could make that a main riff of a song and work around it.
I'm sure some of it sounds better on an actual guitar because powertabs can't make arpeggios sound pretty.
