Help with Audacity

I just downloaded audacity today and i have a few questions.

1.What is a good rate to use
2.Which format is best 16 24 or 32
3.My acoustic sounds to loud and i'm not playin loud, i have the input volume at .5 anyway to fix it?

24bit
is the standard, I suggest using that, dont change the 44100 or you will have some strange effects when loading to places like this board....speed usually gets changed.

What hardware are you using?
interface, mics...?

I think my mic is from an old 2 in 1 webcam but the webcam part doesn't work:s or theres a mic in the computer but i don't see it. By interface do u mean other software i have for recording(none) or some of my comps specs, i dont really know them cuz i got the computer a while ago and my parents dont remember.
