Now who all agrees.. that the power rangers theme song (the original power rangers from the early 90's) was not one of the best 80's metal style songs EVER composed!!

Big solos, thumping bass line, good chord progression, endless non stop drumming.. in fact.. to say the least - i'd even rank it above a lot of 80's metal :p:

but whats YOUR opinion (and remember they are only opinions) about this most awesome totally rad song :peace:

Buckethead, my ass http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Wasserman

About as stupid as people saying Satch or EVH wrote Top Gun.

Great song, though. I love the rhythm tone, and that 16th tapping bit kicks ass (which half of the Power Tabs get wrong; it's not bloody trilling ffs! )

Tried it myself years ago, and this is still by far the most accurate of the lot:

That's for the TV version, though. There's a longer one with singing (I can upload both versions if anyone wants them), in which you can hear the 16ths tapping and the chords with palm muting much more clearly.

A band I recently discovered called Powerglove has done a kick-ass version of the Power Rangers theme. It's on their MySpace page: http://www.myspace.com/vgmetal

I play the Power Rangers theme all the time. It will likely be one of the first things I record when I'm figuring out a recording setup.

Buckethead didn't actually play the theme song. He added some guitar parts to some other songs in the Power Rangers soundtrack, but the main theme wasn't one of them.

he played the main theme for the movie but he had nothing to do with the mighty morphin' power rangers TV soundtrack.

That band is officially beyond awesome! I would quite happily sit through Dragonforce (who they're currently supporting on tour) to see these guys play.

I thought he played on a soundtrack song called Firebird...

EDIT: Google is my friend. I was right that he played on Firebird, but that song was on the movie soundtrack. According to bingeandgrab.com, he didn't write or contribute to the theme song.
