metal riff ideas?

hi i'm i want to know what are some more metal bands that have great riffs that gives ideas, i a interemdiate guitarist that is into death and metal melodic death, but i'm some ideas of black metal bands like emperor and dimm borgir, what some other metal bands that has great riffs that will be interesting?

Those were the three bands I immediately thought of lol

Opeth has tons of intermediate-level riffs, most of which are more intricate than most intermediate-level metal (i.e. not tons of palm-muted open strings in between everything).

Testament is also good for thrash riffs/triplets.

Also, Mastodon has some nice stuff, though some are a bit boring at times.

Behemoth, alot of there riffs are really simple, but the leads can get semi intricate. he uses some sweep picking, but it's pretty intermediate sweeps, nothing super technical.

If you want to build technique, as much as I hate to say it, I'd go with Lamb of God. Or Necrophagist. But that's a little past intermediate.

Look into some early 90's death metal. Lots of simple but affective riffs.
