After hearing this band mentioned heaps over the last year I finally decided to check them out. I downloaded Monument to Thieves, and it rips hard.

Discuss and/or tell me if I should get Fifteen Counts of Arson as well.

...if you like the band, get the album. If they suck, don't.

We got no place to tell you what not to get =S

Well I'd rather not waste my download limit on an album that's not that great, so why shouldn't I ask to see if it's decent first?

edit: allrighty, after I give monument a few more spins I'll get it.

Bumping the heaviest band to ever exist. His Hero is Gone is 7000 times better than deathcore.

I know this is a year too late. I know of Schifosi and it's such a pity they broke up. I'll be sure to listen to abcweapons

They're my go-to band when I don't feel like listening to emoz. I'm really into Fifteen Counts of Arson right now, but Monuments to Thieves is definitely their best.

Fifteen Counts of Arson isn't as good, but it's still excellent. The Plot Sickens is good, but not recorded as well as the other two records. I also find that the songs feel a lot faster (more blast beats and such) and the record is over in like 10-15 minutes. Their Fools Gold 7" is probably the lowest quality of them all and I don't listen to it very often. Generally, the jams on Monuments to Thieves are not to be topped, but that doesn't mean their other material should be completely neglected.

Fifteen Counts Of Arson is the next HHIG record you get.
It's so raw and mean, there's no substitute.
Monuments To Thieves is great but 15 Counts is my favorite.

It was the 90's, they didn't know any better. Regardless, this band slays and remains one of my all-time favorites.

Yeah, when I first saw the name I though deathcore/synthy metalcore garbage.

Boy was I wrong.

Oh gawd, this band makes me tear up. Everything they released was so far above the standard they make other great bands sound like not great bands.

so I'm finally giving this band a proper listen. Checking out monuments to thieves first. The opening track just punch my nuts off, I wish my band played music like this.

They built the telescope so only they could see.
Painted it black and white so only they could see.
Put it in their pockets so no-one else could see.
Defined vision, so no-one else could see.
So I use my slingshot to bury rocks,
Deep in their eyes.

Songs been playing on repeat in my head for almost a month now.
