No More Dethklok Tabs!
 

Tab talk fellas,

As you know
Ultimate Guitar received a takedown notice from the copyright owner claiming that the user submission was an infringement of their rights. In compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act we have removed the submission as requested by the owners.

This means we won't have this band's tabs in the archive anymore.

But you may still share your tabs via private messages. Also you can request tabs for this band.

That sucks.

I don't understand whats wrong with tabs.

I sense a dethklok tab book coming soon.

I hope it wasn't Brendon Small, I thought he was cool!

Have you seen some of the interviews and videos of him?

so how did we survive the RIAA thing if we're taking down tabs after receiving takedown notices?

was it just that the RIAA wasn't the copyright holder?

Would they take down the tab if u resubmitted it and put it under a different name?

could somoene please send me either the main theme tab or guitar pro (preferred) ?

i suggest everyone go download every guitar pro dethklok file they can find right now because they're going to drop from every single site eventually

im going to download every guitar pro tabs torrent that i can find in hope of digging up a bunch of them but obviously there's not going to be anything from dethalbum2

Nah, he just acts like a dick.

Like in his lesson for the main theme, you can tell he's holding back his laughter when he says something dickful. Anything else like his gear tour he's a chill guy.

Yeah i'm sure brendan isn't trying to be a dick or anything. I put up a tab for the comet song and i was pretty proud of it but hey it's his music so he should be getting the money for the tabs.

except that tabs are used for personal private study, which is an exception provided for by many countries copyright laws (it's the reason copyright was introduced). So you could, in theory, go to a shop, copy down the tabs and there would be nothing anyone could do.

Go annoy someone... now.

He's godly, plus i'm pretty sure everyone of us could skiddadle over to Guitar Center and buy the tab book.

someone please rar the tabs they have and PM me when you do... i never saved any Dethklok tabs to my harddrive

Would it be unlawful to post Dethklok tabs in the forums?

I doubt you'd be allowed to post them because you're distributing to the public rather than a specific person who wants to use it for personal/private study.

it's a small distinction but it means that UG isn't violating copyright laws.
