You know how there's bands that everybody knows and you want to check out, but when you go to Wikipedia to see their discography it's 400 albums long? Well, this is a thread where you ask your fellow Pitters where to start.

For example,

Kid A: I want to check out the Cure. Where do I start?
Kid B: If you want the more radio, pop rocky Cure the best place is Disintegration. But if you want post punk the Cure, go with Seventeen Seconds or Pornography.

Also, I love Beyond from Dinosaur Jr. Which album should I get into to get a feel for their early stuff?
