mewithoutYou Gear/Effects
mewithoutYou's tone is amazing, especially with all the effects. If you don't know who they are, look 'em up, absolutely amazing. Be warned, though, they're not everyone's cup of tea.
Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone had any clue to what effects mwY's guitarist (Mike Weiss) has on his board. Clear pictures, interviews, etc would be awesome. I've found a lot of inferences of what he uses, but nothing clear or concrete.

I'm aware he has a Boss tuner, Dunlop Crybaby, and two Line 6 DL-4s, but other than that, I don't know...

Michael In order of appearance:

Dunlop crybaby Jimi Hendrix model
Line 6 DL4 Delay x2
Electro-Harmonix Small Clone Analog Chorus
Demeter TRM-1 Tremulator
Fulltone Fulldrive II MOSFET
Boss RV-5 Reverb

All pedals are connected to the effects loop in Michael's Vox AC30.

BOSS RC-2 Loop Station
Maxon OD-9
BOSS DD-3 Digital Delay
BOSS CS-3 Compression/Sustainer

I've heard that the wiki article isn't that reliable, like Greg uses an SD-9 instead of an OD-9. That the gist of it, I guess, though. Thanks.

Just saw his rig (as of 2009), it was a Boss tu-2, Crybaby wah, 2 DL-4s, tremulator, fulldrive, rv-5, Rocktron Hush, and he had his vox's tremelo and reverb switch on the board, too.
His board from circa 2005 looked like this:
Crybaby wah, tuner, rat proco distortion, tremulator, boss pitch shifter, boss aw3, EHX Small Clone, boss RV-5, DL-4. His Fender Super Reverb's 4-way switch was on the board, but out of the chain, too.

Google search found these things:

"2 DL4's (he uses the presets on both, but he could just go with the one and the other is backup)
Demeter Tremulator
Boss PS-5
Boss TU-2
Boss RV-5 (he swears by it)
Crybaby Wah
Small Clone
HAO Soul Pressure

all of these on a homemade pedalboard."

"i had an article on them from june of this year. it said one of the guitarists played a G&L ASAT into an orange AD30 combo amp and used a vox wah, EHX deluxe memory man, and a fulltone fulldrive. the other guitarist plays a gibson les paul goldtop, american telecaster, and rickenbacker 360 into a fender concert reverb amp and uses a dunlop crybaby wah, boss dynamic wah and super shifter, demeter TRM-1 tremulator, EHX small clone, and a line 6 DL4 delay modeler, and a rat on his pedal board."

Two years old, but as far as I know, Mike hasn't changed his board since.

Their new album comes out next Tuesday (May 15th, 2012), it's up on Spotify right now. Check it out, it's called Ten Stories. If you'd rather hear some older stuff, here's a good thing to go by:
[A -> B] Life - Their first and also their heaviest. Kind of hardcore punk-y. Hardly any singing whatsoever.
Catch For Us the Foxes - Their second and my personal favorite, well almost. Very cool. That's all I can describe it as.
Brother, Sister - Their third and best album. The first I heard. If you want to take a listen, this is where you should start, it has a little bit for everyone.
It's All Crazy, It's All False, It's All a Dream, It's Alright - Their fourth...and most folksy...But that doesn't mean it's bad. Most people just don't like it. I love it. Take a listen.
Ten Stories - The new one, it's supposed to be most like Brother, Sister out of all of them, so it should be phenomenal. I hope so.
