What is minecraft, you might ask? Minecraft is a sandbox construction game, inspired by Infiniminer, Dwarf Fortress and Dungeon Keeper, created by Markus Persson, the founder of Mojang AB. The game involves players creating and destroying various types of blocks in a three dimensional environment. The player takes an avatar that can destroy or create blocks, forming fantastic structures, creations and artwork across the various multiplayer servers in multiple game modes. (Minecraft Wiki)

It's lots of fun, and even more so with other people! There are currently four versions of the game (and two for PC): The regular version, which costs €19.99 (which works out to be around £17.21/$26.90) is the one that we host a server for. They're also working on a free demo, but that has not currently been released. Then there's Minecraft Classic, a free older version of the game which doesn't have many features that the regular version has but is worth checking out to get a feel for the game. In addition, they have released versions for Minecraft for both Xbox Live Arcade and mobile devices ( iOS ,Android )

If you'd like to join us (please do!), what you need to do is buy a copy of Minecraft at http://www.minecraft.net/ (if you pirate it, you will not be able to connect. You need to buy the game to play with us) Then play the game and connect to the server using the IP address below.

You can get a look at our map with a dynamic map (like google earth for MC) here .

The IP address to connect to the server is:

We currently have no whitelist, come and join! If you grief, however, you will recieve the banhammer.

There's also many mods and texture packs available to further customize your game.

- The longest reigning mod, having modded since Spawn Town map
- Lives in Ohio (there's not much to say about ohio)
- Known widely as the sexiest, most intelligent mod.

3. Papershredder
Tenure: Magnolia-Current map
- One of the longest reigning mods, he's been around since Alpha Dome and modded since Magnolia.
- Lives in England, home of funny English words and the Queen.
- Knows a lot about the use of redstone

4. TijuanaToad
Tenure: Benmap-Current Map
- Lives in Croatia
- One of the friendliest people on the server, expert on making cool buildings

5. Mac2322
Tenure: Alpha Dome-Current map
- Second longest running mod
- Lives in Colombia, goes to school in Colorado
- Expert on carefully engineered plant farms

Just getting back into this game. Trying to stick to one world for a lengthy period of time. Can't play smp though as I'm still using a pirated launcher(no intention on ever buying the game, come at me).

It's an older version (beta 1.6) that looks fun to play splitscreen with friends, does have some pretty bad lighting, and will be harder due to playing with a controller rather than a mouse.

Don't know yet if the updates will cost money, but if they do, minecraft on 360 can **** itself.

Meh, I prefer console games than PC games. I might as well get it.

Except for the finite worlds, but I guess with Xbox technology it can't really be helped.
