whats a good way to teach yourself to sing? im not expecting to be a male celine dion but id like to be decent at it. any advice?

Singing is just sustained talking while moving the pitch of your voice up or down. Try it.

Wow, that's a ridiculous oversimplification. There is definitely much, much more to singing than that.

Also I tried some vocal warmup youtube videos by a guy called Eric Arceneaux and they were really good - I think there are four videos that provide a basic warmup. Do this everyday and it will help your voice improve quickly. You want to get a good vocal coach though that can see andhear you in person to help you work on things. If you can't afford it go the the library and get Singing for Dummies - it has a CD and also many excercises that if you practice daily will help your singing voice.
