Digitech Pedals

Hello! 1 question! Are Digitech FX Pedals analog or digital?

Beezerk 09-17-2012 04:55 AM

Dunno mate but maybe there's a clue on the name ;)

Eppicurt 09-17-2012 04:56 AM

Doesn't matter. They're just plain awful.

What effect are you looking for and how much do you have to spend?

Telecaster7 09-17-2012 04:58 AM

Some are and some aren't, depends on which one. Also:

Hey! some of them are deceptively good.

kitarmen 09-17-2012 11:07 AM

And some are not cheap so most be good. Anyway the reason for my question was the name itselfe, Digitech sounded digital.

The Time Bender is an amazing stomp box.

NeverShade 09-17-2012 11:51 AM

Hardwire stuff is cool though

Some are digital some are analogue. Most are digital I believe.

I think that the dirt boxes (bad monkey, screamin blues, hardwire tube overdrive, etc.) are analog, but some Digitech stuff can be bad.

Is the "digitech hot head" analog? This one sound realy good. At least for me.

Why does it matter if it's analog or digital? The only thing that matters is if you like how a pedal sounds or not...it doesn't make any difference whatsoever what's going on inside it if it does what you want out of the box.

because the vast majority of digital distortions/overdrives sound like utter arse.

He said he liked the way the pedal sounded.................need I elaborate further?

NakedInTheRain 09-18-2012 02:56 AM

well if he likes a shitty digital distortion, so be it. i was answering your question.

the hot head is analog in any case.

Well I did quote him, and the question I asked was directed to him, and even more specifically it was about the thing that I quoted that he had just said.
I am not posting in this thread to gather information for myself, but thanks anyway

I heard the sound only on youtube. we all know that youtube can sound verry unrealistic. If the hot head would be digital, its more posible that its a bad overdrive.

EncoreBlade 09-18-2012 09:57 AM

The DL-8 is pretty cool and for the price I got it for ($105 new), the features and delay sounds is pretty awesome.

fastlanestoner 09-18-2012 04:52 PM

this is win! haha

I heard they were changing their name to Anatech...

greeny23 09-18-2012 05:06 PM

thinking of renaming Toyroom Effects to Analtech Engineering.
