Enlarging pickup cavity?

I'm thinking about buying a dremel because I got a coupon for one. Would it be able to enlarge a cavity routed for a single coil to humbucker size?

Yes

Alright thanks. I'd read some posts saying you couldn't, but they seemed to be more geared towards making a whole new cavity.

I'd rather use a chisel. You can get a router base for a dremel, but I've never tried one.

You can, but be very careful. It's really easy to lose control of the damn thing and it goes crazy, which obviously isn't good.

Are you speaking from experience or just repeating what others have said? I've never had a dremel come anywhere near losing control while routing.

TS, are you doing this on a strat? If so, use a chisel if you have a good(and sharp) one. I see no benefit to using a dremel, only more opportunities to mess up.
