Arizona is at it again...

Basically, your employer can fire you if you take the pill to prevent pregnancy. Good luck having a career when you're pregnant all the time, ladies.

"The bill would force employees to show their employers their medical records and also grant employers the right to deny health insurance coverage, forcing women to pay full price for their prescriptions."

It's hard to believe this got past HIPAA regulation, and if something like this gets done at a national level I hope we see a lot of flaming bras.

Ah, Arizona.

Where America goes to die.

"Government should not be telling the organizations or mom-and-pop employers to do something against their moral beliefs," Republican Majority Whip Debbie Lesko, R-Glendale, who sponsors the bill, told the State Press. "I believe we live in America. We don't live in the Soviet Union."

Seriously? Fucking seriously Debbie Lesko, Republican Majority Whip representing Glendale?

I don't know what's more frustrating. That these people want to beat women with a bible until they're bound by law to remain in the *******, or that they also claim to be for small government.

strat0blaster 10-02-2012 10:47 PM

Arizona might be an unfair state, but man is their iced tea good or what?!

This.

captaincrunk 10-02-2012 10:53 PM

Arizona really needs a new state legislature, governor, police force, and judiciary system. And maybe some legalized prostitution too, for good measure.

naedauuf 10-02-2012 10:54 PM

Any iced tea in the states is ****ing disgusting.

I swear America is going backwards.

CodeMonk 10-02-2012 11:04 PM

Arizona = West Florida

Interesting how the Republicans demand Rights and Freedom of Religion for the employer but seem quite content to deny any Rights or Freedom of Religion to the employee.

WTF Arizona.

In good news, there's a court injunction against the PA voter law. Apparently the courts aren't convinced that requiring picture ID will prevent an entirely fictional problem and won't disenfranchise large numbers of the voter base.

WaterGod 10-02-2012 11:14 PM

I don't understand how or why states keep resisting Obama's birth control mandate. Also it just seems like Arizona is slowly turning into it's own fascist Republic at this point. We should let them secede and then they can permaban all the Hispanics they want.

Colgate Total 10-02-2012 11:16 PM

Arizona is hot and shitty anyway. Move to Colorado if it bothers you so much.
