Guitar Amp Problem
 

Hey guys, I've been having this problem with my fender 212r for a few months now. After a few minutes of playing, I start hearing scratching noises coming from the amp, even when I'm not playing. It's not my cables, because I plugged an almost brand new planet waves cable into the input, and my amp still produced the same scratchy noise.

What could possibly be producing these sounds?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

"Scratchy" isn't a sufficient enough description of the issue.

Issues with the pots? But yeah, can you describe it further? Record it maybe? Then we can help you better.

It's like static, but much worse. And guitar amps have pots?

iHaha i had the same amp and it gave me the same problem. Eventually it gets worse until all you get is that terrible sound but louder and with zero sound from the guitar. I have a feeling it's something to do with the wiring to the speakers. I never bothered to get mine fixed so i just got rid of it.
