Could you put an Ibanez neck on a Schecter body?

If the scale lengths are the same I don't see why you couldn't. And even if the scale lengths are different you could still put it on the body and move the bridge.

Um, probably not. Not to mention, aren't most shecters set neck? I don't know why you want to do this, seems like a bad idea.

Even set necks you can take them off. The only issue would be the scale length besides that you can put any neck on any guitar.

I mean technically you could, but its not gonna be like swapping one strat neck for another. The neck pockets probably aren't the same size, the scale length probably won't work out the exact same so you'll probably need to move the bridge. I'm sure there are other factors I'm not thinking of.

In short, yes, but there are probably better options to achieve what you want.

There is not benefit to doing it. Even if you say "I have a Schecter body and Ibanez neck lying around", you'd still be better off selling them separately and buying a new guitar, or selling the Schecter Body and buying an Ibanez body.

use an ibanez neck, and make your own schecter shape body?

If the width is the same, probably yes.
