Does anyone else struggle to find music they like?
 

I would say I'm pretty open minded. But I just cannot get into any new bands lately, but I'm also bored of most of the stuff on my iPod. It's almost like everything is beginning to blur into one.

I buy all my music, because I'm paranoid. And it forces me to give albums a good listen, but I'm browsing through stuff and just nothing catches my ear. I automatically try and find flaws too, which is dumb but I can't help it.

Anyone know that feel?

the more i listen to my music the more i realise that i ****ing love periphery. seriously, that new album gets better with every listen.

Why don't you guys try listening to something else for a change. You're probably failing at finding something new and innovative because you're trying to recreate the bands you love. Listen to some genres you don't want to listen to.

With the Internet? Never been easier to find a good music and order a CD.

i just follow these rules and i do fine:

1. only get new music when you're bored of the music you currently have
2. when looking for new music, download whole albums and NEVER skip a song
3. try to listen to the music personally (how the band would listen to it) without any outside associations, it helps if you don't go on the youtube videos to see the fanbase's comments

It's been a good while since I discovered a band that totally wrecked my view of music in a good way, but other than that, I tend to find great music new to myself at least once in two weeks.

Yeah music sucks.

I go through phases of not really finding any music very interesting. At the moment i am kind of on a musical high though, so i am open to most things.

I don't look for music I like, I already have it.

No but I sometimes find it annoying how I only like 'generic/objectively boring' musicians. I always feel like I have a bad sense of taste.

I haven't charged my ipod for ages. Just lost interest in music a lot lately. I find the radio easier to listen to than albums at the moment.
