New Zoom Pedal Multi-FX
 

Saw this pedal in a magazine ad.

Zoom MS-50G

Seems waaayyy too good to be true. It's got 8 amp models and 47 stompbox effects. And it's only $100. Plus it's the size of a standard Boss pedal. It doesn't sound bad either. A little muddy on the presets, but I'm sure that can be changed.

So, what do you guys think? Does anyone have one/tried one?

If I was going for a multi effects pedal, I'd want to get a 'proper' one. A pedal like that would be OK for a bit of experimentation, but it would soon become extremely limiting - and probably quite annoying when you have to keep reprogramming it between each song to get the patches you need.

Looks like a pretty spiffy pedal.

You're definitely right, but for someone like me who doesn't require a huge multi-fx pedal, it would be a nice way to add some versatility and options to your sound. It's also good for an alternative to pedals that you may not use enough to buy separately, but would are nice to have.

Can't argue with that - if you wanted it to cover the things you don't use very often something like this could be a good idea.
