NDG= new guitar day FGD =finished guitar day?

If NDG = New guitar day then FDG = finished guitar day right?
Awhile back I brought an RG 270 body and neck (production date november 2000) from trade me with the intent of fixing it up and in the process of doing so, learning a bit more about setting up and wiring a guitar.
This is what I started with:

and this is what i finished with

(on left)
This was my first ever attempt at wiring up a guitar, my wiring is a bit messy but it works well and i didnt have to redo any of it. Worked first time :D
I Went with dimarzio pups and have and EVO2 in the bridge, an air Norton pickup in the middle and a tone zone in the neck position
The EVO 2 lives up to it name and the pickup sings on the higher notes.
Favourite pickup on the guitar is the Air norton. that pickup is so smooth and creamy.
All the pots and switches are Dimarzio and the floyd is a licensed kramer one that I picked up for cheap as.
I put P.O.S on the head stock meaning: Piece of shit
But really that's not a suitable name for it because it plays quite a bit better then i thought it would and isn't the piece of shit I expected it to turn out as :)
I want to wait for my interface before i do any sound clips with this. so if you really want to hear it or see it played add me and ill have a vid up in a couple of weeks or so
Thanks for looking- if i've missed anything out or you want to know anything more just ask.

Thanks man.
All I did was oil it with danish oil, really like the way it came out
I've had so many people asking me "what colour are you going to paint it"

stepchildusmc 10-20-2012 10:31 PM

uhh...umm... i'm gonna paint it with stealth wood tones. it's a cool new paint by PPG. it loooks like natural wood but combined with a good imagination it turns into whatever color you like.

PrimitiveGuitar 10-21-2012 02:27 AM

I was real hesitant in doing a natural finish because its only a bass wood body.
But it turned out nice
Thanks guys ! :)
