Chris Ross - Singin' To Find You Tabs

- Chris Ross - "Singin' To Find You"

Had this in the Musician Talk forum for the longest time, decided to move it to where it's supposed to go :)

Can anyone tab out this song for me?? Please? I can't figure the main riff out. If it helps, he's said that the tuning is EACGCE with a capo on the 2nd Fret. Thanks in advance :peace:

I used the original studio version to get what I have here..

CAPO: 2nd FRET

INTRO GOES SOMETHING LIKE THIS TO ME IN STANDARD TUNING

A - 0h3--3h5--5h7--7--5\3--0--

TO THE CHORDS C F C....

the 5\3 which means either slide from the 5th fret to the 3rd

OR TRY IT THIS WAY:

A - 0-3--3-5--5-7--7--5\3--0--

CHORDS USED IN STANDARD TUNING:
(IF YOU SEND ME THE LYRICS I CAN PLACE WHERE THEY GO)

THIS IS HOW I PLAY THE FIRST 42 SECONDS OF THE SONG WHEN HE STARTS TO SING AT 19 SECONDS ....

C F C
C F G C F C

Also while playing it this way I get a lot of mileage while playing the
C chord using my Middle finger on the D string and doing a lot of hammering on and off of that string..... so hold the C chord and alternate lifting on and off the middle finger which is on the D string........

Try all this and see if it works...then if you get the lyrics to me I can work on more of the song for you.... Like I stated this is in standard tuning... It will not be 100% bit it will get you through the song nicely I believe

From the sunny shores of Georgia to the cold New Hampshire rain
From the red taillights of Brooklyn, The prairies and the plains
Iím singiní to find you
Iím singiní to find you

From the subways of Chicago to the sidewalks up above
To the barroom floors of Texas, Where nobodies in love
Iím singiní to find you
Iím singiní to find you

And Iím findiní it hard to find the right woman
Either takiní it slow or takiní what couldnít be mine
Since I was a kid on the edge of my bed
Strumminí along, Scribbliní lead and tryiní
To find you

From the old bonfires up north to the neon music road
Over telephones and rowdy crowds and, Radio
Iím singiní to find you
Iím singiní to find you

From all the empty glasses and the ashtrays overflowed
And the lonely drives up 95, Takiní me on home
Iím singiní to find you
Iím singiní to find you

And Iím findiní it hard to read between the laughter and the cryiní
All the women scorned and lovers torn canít blame a guy for tryiní
But Iíve been in love before you know and Iíll be in love again
But baby until then

Through all the sappy secrets that Iíve broken down and told
Every hand I knew was long, But couldnít make the fold
Iím singiní to find you
Iím singiní to find you

And Iím findiní it hard to find the right woman
Either takiní it slow or takiní what couldnít be mine
Since I was a kid on the edge of my bed
Strumminí along, Scribbliní lead and tryiní
To find you
