Facebook

In your opinion, will facebook still be around in 5 years in the way it is now? Or will it go the way of Myspace?

TunerAddict 10-24-2012 09:32 PM

Who the **** knows.

Weaponized 10-24-2012 09:35 PM

Yes. It has old people on it.

K'Nuckles 10-24-2012 09:35 PM

Myspace was never as big as Facebook is now, even during the glory days.

treborillusion 10-24-2012 09:36 PM

I have a song called Facebook. :)

Jon777 10-24-2012 09:37 PM

It certainly won't be around in its current form, if that's what you're asking. Facebook is always adding new features.

If by "the way it is now" you mean "the top social networking site," really, who knows? If I was a goddamn wizard I'd tell you. But alas, I am not. ;_____;

Gibson_SG_uzr55 10-24-2012 09:38 PM

Five years from now? I don't think it wall collapse a la Myspace, but I am sure another site within that time will give it some competition.

treborillusion 10-24-2012 09:38 PM

:) I think the question is... Will I be around in 5 years time?

I'm KIDDING!

Yeah that

Ichikurosaki 10-24-2012 09:39 PM

if google tried and failed, i don't see it being dethroned any time soon

Crazyedd123 10-24-2012 09:39 PM

Wait, do I answer the first or last question?

:wtf:

DukeDeRox 10-24-2012 09:42 PM

When I joined in 2006 I was still mostly using MySpace. But slowly more and more of my friends went to FaceBook cause it was less annoying and more simple. Now it's getting more annoying and less simple.

Unless there's some decent competition I'm sure it'll stay in top. MySpace and Xanga were the coolest like 7-10 years ago and didn't last near as long or have a huge base like FB.

guitarist41 10-24-2012 09:42 PM

Hopefully people will realise what a complete pile of shite it is.

Exactly. We have enough social networks already. Any more is just a stupid idea. Imo, this question is, kind of dumb, to be honest.
Bothe because of this, and because, well... Who even cares?

Trowzaa 10-24-2012 09:48 PM

Look at Google+, it did absolutely nothing to knock Facebook off its throne. The only way Facebook will collapse is if they **** it up themselves. Which they're starting to do with this "promote your status" shit. 4 to make my post stay at the top of people's news feeds? I'm sure they care about the chavs outside or the running time of The Hobbit. Yeah, my statuses are great.

The world is almost over man.

Todd Hart 10-24-2012 09:51 PM

Of course it will, you may as well ask of YouTube or Google or Wikipedia will be around in five years.

I don't know a single person who would do the promote your status thing.

Pagan_Poetry 10-24-2012 09:55 PM

To get people thinking:

Most of you have been using facebook for 5-6 years already. You have stopped using Myspace, of which most of you have used for a few years before Facebook, for almost as long.

Has another site trumped it yet in terms of social networking?
