So, how bad is this?

Last night I had a dream that I met a girl, and when I woke up I was really disappointed that she didn't existed. Like, really disappointed. This concerns me...

Trowzaa 11-09-2012 09:26 PM

Happens to me occasionally  Dem feels. I dreamt that I met a girl on a train and yada yada, woke up and was like yeah that was awesome, good times. Then I realised.

Bob_Sacamano 11-09-2012 09:29 PM

Yeah, happens to me too. Damn girls of my dreams can go to hell

Pagan_Poetry 11-09-2012 09:31 PM

According to Freud, everybody you see in your dreams you've seen before in real life, even for a split second.
Freud may have been full of shit though.

Either way, it does indeed suck so hard. I feel you TS.

Ometh 11-09-2012 09:33 PM

Yes, this has happened to me once :(

afrothunder666 11-09-2012 09:40 PM

It's happened to me as well. I always wondered if she'd pop up one day...

I've heard this before and don't see the logic behind it at all. Why would that be the case if you can make up things in your dreams that you've never even thought about?

Your brain stores nearly all information your eyes, ears, nose, etc receive. Hence why you remember it when you actively think about it.

Who says that you've never thought about them/ heard about them?

I'd imagine that if your subconscious remembers faces that you don't remember consciously, it may remember concepts as well

Your brain can't physically make up faces, it can only remember faces that you've seen before.

Philip_pepper 11-09-2012 09:43 PM

Life goes on nigguh.

Momentosis 11-09-2012 09:44 PM

Happens to me every now and then.

Thing is usually these dreams are full of really realistic people.

How can the brain be so capable of things like dis.

Indeed. Realistic and perfect for you. Scumbag brain.

ThrashUnleashed 11-09-2012 09:46 PM

She did resemble a close friend of mine, physically.
And in regards to the Dream Theater thing, reminds me of the German story Gradiva.

Weaponized 11-09-2012 09:46 PM

Your subconscious gets more pussy than you do.

FireFromTheVoid 11-09-2012 09:48 PM

Happened to me a couple of time, always lay in bed forever trying to go back to sleep so I can see her again.

Is that strictly true? Can't it abstract composites of faces it has seen before?
