pickup noise?
 

i wanted to know if i could put on pickup covers on my pickup without any micro phonic noise.or do i need to solder the pickup bobbins to the cover or use silicone glue or what.thanks

There shouldn't be any noise from simply adding a cover to your pickups. You're talking about just adding the covers to regular humbuckers/singlecoils, right?

They can get squeeley. I'd recommend soldering always, but beyond that potting is also important.

sorry for resonding late but what type of noise can i get without potting them and are there any threads about how to pot pickups?

yea i was gonna add some covers that i found on a website to make my open blade magnet humbuckers to look like emgs
