Still Ascending (Gp5) Metalcore
 

A song i wrote for an upcoming album.

Everything but the chorus is awesome. Chorus doesn't work for me because of the link. You'll hear what I mean, I think, in the first few seconds.

Other than that, sure, it's well constructed, it stays away from most genericore cliches, not really much wrong with it. Structure was a bit predictable, but that's nit picking.

Why you ask?

I reckon I can point out 3 or 4 things about this song, possibly more, that are directly and strongly influenced by Architects songs. Whilst the end product doesn't sounds exactly like them, for a fan it's quite clear it see.

So very Architects. Not a bad thing though.

If I were you I'd separate the chord voicing over the two guitars. I was wearing headphones and my ears were blew off from how much was going on especially in the chorus with the string ensemble. It's just too much. I think it would sound better too.

Apart from that I like it.
