tap water vs. bottled water

up here we pretty much exclusively drink tap water. bottled water is generally regarded as silly. i know some of you guys live in places where the tap water is actually pretty shitty, so which do you prefer to drink?

Tap

Within Europe tap water has to meet certain standards to be considered fit for human consumption.

The reason that people sometimes get a bit of a belly issue is because different countries apply different additional chemicals to their tap water (fluorides etc), which people from other countries aren't used to having in their systems.

Tap water all the way. I work in the water industry though, so i'm kinda biased.

tap son

X-plorer88 11-22-2012 06:04 AM

Tap at home, but bottled in my shitty college dorm with crap plumbing. Well not "bottled" I buy it in the gallon jugs.

Telecaster7 11-22-2012 06:06 AM

Tap.

I do like the taste of bottled water though. (Yes, it's different here)

whoomit 11-22-2012 06:09 AM

tip top tap

Skynyrd890 11-22-2012 06:09 AM

I drink bottled water or filtered tap. I refuse to drink straight tap water. It's disgusting.

Straight from the river above sheep level. Or tap. Dat Pennine water.

Ignite 11-22-2012 06:14 AM

My tap taste awful
we distill our tap and buy bottled water sometime

the bartender 11-22-2012 06:15 AM

Who the hell buys bottled water? There's nothing wrong with tap if you live in a developed western country, and it's a hell of a lot cheaper too.

Megadeth136 11-22-2012 06:16 AM

I drink both

OddOneOut 11-22-2012 06:19 AM

Tap at home and when I have a bottle to fill up. Bottle when I'm abroad or need a drink when I'm out of the house and have no water with me.

SlackerBabbath 11-22-2012 06:34 AM

Either will do for me, so long as it's heated and also contains coffee, sugar and milk.

Avedas 11-22-2012 06:45 AM

If you prefer bottled water your city is awful and you should move.

bobross 11-22-2012 06:47 AM

Baby water, the variety void of fluoride. Nice for the teeth, but that shit is bad news.

Bottled water is subject to much lesser standards. Tap water should have no indicator bacteria. Bottled water contains shedloads. And one bottle I tested had clostridium perfringens in it.

Exactly this.
My family still drink bottled water whenever they come to visit me in France though, because they don't believe that the tap water is safe here. That's what intense marketing does for you
