Probably the best guitar value in the last 10 years

The Ibanez SZ720FM. PRS feel at a fraction of the cost. Abalone binding, set in mahogany neck, Duncan designed pickups. I believe they were $700 brand new. I bought mine a while back for $300.

I believe Ibanez only made these for a few years.

Thoughts?

Huh? No, just giving some love to a great little instrument.

Sensitive?

gregs1020 12-09-2012 03:18 PM

ibanez guitars are overpriced and the QC is crap.

wait, is it ibanez or ???

i forgot exactly what i'm supposed to be parroting right now...

give me a minute.

Robbgnarly 12-09-2012 03:19 PM

Trust me that is no PRS.....

gregs1020 12-09-2012 03:20 PM

srsly plenty of quality instruments can be found used for a bargain.

calling any single one "the best" anything is completely idiotic.

Of course it's not...you're missing the point.

Wow...a lot of sensitive nellies here today.

Just trying to bring to light a little known guitar that is of great quality for the money. Nothing more, nothing less.

I know you are, but that's where I see this headed. I wouldn't be surprised if it turned into an Agile vs Gibson thread tbh.

No I'm not.

Not saying it isn't a diecent guitar, but it is a low-mid level guitar and in no way at all comparable to a PRS. Every thing on that guitar is inferior to what you will find on my PRS I garantee it ;)

No argument here. Since it's a tough sell to the warden to drop 2 G's on a Custom 24, I guess my Ibanez will have to do for now. My dream guitar, though.

hminh87 12-09-2012 03:32 PM

I have this feeling you have not played so many guitars, yet...

what you need is a new warden. ;)

I hate abalone bindings... they're so hideous... Hell, I can BARELY stand them as inlays...

:haha: My brothers ex-wife we called the warden. My wife is "The Fun Police" because she knows how to ruin a good time

And if you do start looking a PRS guitars, you can get the CE22/24 for $1000ish and sometimes even less. It is basically a striped down bolt-on version of the Custom 22/24.

Yes your right at $300 that is a nice guitar and a diecent deal.

Nero Galon 12-09-2012 04:13 PM

I have to laugh at some people.

I was looking at getting a PRS and a few people were saying that they are overpriced brand that has OK quality but not worth it.

Sometimes I find it hard to take advice from people.

Tempoe 12-09-2012 04:35 PM

It's one of the better $300 guitars for sure. Guitars have different characters, sometimes a cheaper one will play better than an expensive. Setup is so often overlooked on most new guitars by buyers
