6 Harsh Truths That Will Make You a Better Person

I know there's a Cracked thread and all, but I think the article I just read deserves its own thread:

http://www.cracked.com/blog/6-harsh...-better-person/

Hands down the best serious-type article I've read on the site. (John Cheese can suck it)

I didn't think something I saw on the internet could help me as much as this did, but thanks to this I feel more inspired now. I know a lot of you in the Pit are talented and useful members of society, but I am not and I thought this article might be a good read for those of you who also aren't.

Based on intense fears of failure and rejection, I've wasted my life and have nothing to offer. Yet. I'm going to use this next year building specific skill sets so I can stop feeling shitty.

Hope someone else finds this useful, and for those of you who are already have value, go ahead and brag and stuff.

Herpy holudays

Want a better piece of advice? Don't read lists of 'x number of things to do to improve your life'.

8 reasons why you shouldn't read 'X number of things that Y' lists:

1. They're stupid

2. They ignore obvious variables

3. They're just a ploy to get more site traffic

4. Most of the information is wrong

5. They are highly opinionated and subjective

6. They are generally just made up on the spot with no real thought

7. They always deal in absolutes

8. They're stupid

It told me not to read it.

David Wong and John Cheese are both cunts

Aside from Swaim and O'Brien, the whole staff are cunts.

That's not saying those two aren't, but I get entertained from atleast half their articles.

John Cheese though, **** that guy.

Of course it's titled that way to attract readers. If you forget the format you usually have any other opinion piece. It's not necessarily without value. It doesn't kill anyone to read it.

Gad, I forgot how wadded up the Pit's panties were sometimes

The only one I actually like is Gladstone, and I guess the ones who don't write serious stuff like Bowie. The rest are assholes.

Harsh truth #7 - Two Wongs don't make a white.

Mister.Y 12-18-2012 10:28 AM

Wohey, the ghost of Ayn Rand. So full of sophism, arrogance and plain bullshit it's hardly funny. And that's just the first couple of ''truths''. The rest is some self-help hard love talk?

Whatever works for you, man.

**** I knew I was forgetting someone. I like Gladstone, too.

Pff, if it wasn't written by Seanbaby it's not worth my time

(I still read and enjoy all of them lol)

So why exactly is it incorrect?

JackWhiteIsButts 12-18-2012 10:36 AM

Decent article, can't disagree with a lot of what was said.

He is the WORST of the worst! I remember when he hosted Attack of the Show (back when it wasn't shit) for a little bit. He is such a pretentious **** sucking macho dickhead. His writing style sucks too. Always has this undertone of douchiness.

No offense, not attacking you, just him. :haha:
