Good Surf Tone
 

I have recently taken an interest in surf music like dick dale and i was wondering how to really nail a good surf tone. I have a peavey vypyr 30 and squier strat and i know some basics. I know to drench it with reverb, use the bridge pickup, and use the clean channel. I also will be putting some .11s on my guitar soon. But what would the EQ settings be like? Should i use the slap back effect on my amp, and how much delay should i use? Any other advice on nailing this tone would be appreciated.
