The Official: Formula 1 2013 - The Silver Arrows fly ahead!
So its 2013, which means A NEW SEASON OF F1 IS UPON US and I thought it would be best to start a new thread about it!

A few changes in the grid and line-up but nothing too drastic overall. Schuey leaves and Botas enters. Im looking forward to seeing how he copes after showing decent potential.

My prediction: Vettel or Alonso for drivers championship (too close to choose one) and Ferrari for constructors championship.

Wildcard: Mercedes for constructors championship and Lewis for drivers championship. (you never know with Lewis/ Nico + Boss Brawn, they might just pull it off :p: )

and Kubica better return in 2014.

Thoughts? Ideas? Discuss!

Well then, I guess the new thread is open.

EDIT: Thinking Kubica is going to return is like believing sam b's predictions.

one can hope/ dream!

perez for wdc? interesting, you never know, the mclaren was fast last year and now they are just developing one type of car suited to buttons driving and perez can adapt fairly well. he will win a few races but wdc might be asking a little too much form him.

RetroGunslinger 01-01-2013 02:00 PM

I don't mind who wins as long as it isn't Vettel, and that the racing is as good as last season

Seref 01-01-2013 02:59 PM

I'm more interested in seeing a competition between Lotus and Mercedes than the actual championship. Hamilton and Raikkonen doing a few nascar love-taps.

Also, absolutely no confidence in McLaren.

Perez for WDC!!!! I now support McLaren, again!!! Hoping for an amazing looking car this season!! :D

Don! all those drafts wasted! I feel you bro

midi pure 01-02-2013 10:56 AM

i hope Force India manage to get a win or at least a podium this year like what Sauber and Williams did last year. any news on Sutil back to Force India?

LostLegion 01-02-2013 11:32 AM

f1's gaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy

Rancid Ivy 01-02-2013 11:32 AM

First page. :D

I will remain a Lotus fanboy, Kimi and Romain are my homeboys.

And if Bianchi gets his Force India seat, I'll become a Bianchi fanboy too.

Here's to a (hopefully) competitive and entertaining 2013 season!

Hold up! Thought Don was on new thread duties?

Never mind, I just hope that Merc doesn't end up a massive disappointment AGAIN and that SOMEONE stops Seb Vettel from making it 4-in-a-row.

Rancid Ivy 01-02-2013 12:14 PM

Buemi out of talks for that Force India's between Sutil and Bianchi now.

Telecaster7 01-02-2013 12:18 PM

I think he might sign to BMW for DTM or something, I read something about it not to long ago but I'm not sure.

Telecaster7 01-02-2013 12:23 PM

I remember him saying he had a certain contract to drive in F1 this year.

Guess that didn't work out then.

Rancid Ivy 01-02-2013 12:38 PM

Guess not. Oh well, that's one less person in competition for Bianchi's seat at Force India so. Btw, does anyone know when they're going to announce who gets that seat? :p:

Telecaster7 01-02-2013 12:42 PM

Their car launch is on the 1st of Feb so my guess is sometime before then. Unless they just have a guy with a paper bag with a question mark on it stand next to PDR :p:

Rancid Ivy 01-02-2013 12:47 PM

Plot twist:

Their new driver is going to be The Stig.

Who knows? :p:

71 days 8 hours 42 minutes and 40 seconds left until Melbourne FP1 as of now; let's get this season started already! :D

Simsimius 01-02-2013 01:05 PM

First page!
Gonna be a great year for F1!

EDIT: Wait what? Sutil might be back? Interesting.

Rancid Ivy 01-02-2013 02:19 PM

Yeah, he's been in talks for that Force India seat for weeks. It's between him and Bianchi now.
