Which things in your experience have actually scared you?

Just before I blacked out at a bar, I accepted a pill from a stranger and had a bad experience. So, I don't trust shady people I meet in bathrooms.

Swimming in the ocean and getting deep enough where I can't stand.

I'm a really strong swimmer though. It's not that I can't swim well, I just don't like not being able to see what's below me. If I was in a place where the water was clear I would be fine. with it. Also, being on a boat will do the same thing to me.

The epiphany of vanity.

Going broke.

The time I broke my dick.
The time I woke up in hospital after drinking way too much as an idiot teenager.
The time I thought I was gonna be homeless in a city I didn't know.
The time I saw crazysam and ian the fox in the same thread.

Cablecars ._.

Commitment

Deep, open water. The anxiety I felt in certain parts of Life of Pi was nuts.

Gas masks

I don't think you really want to see what's dwelling underneath the ocean.

Speaking of oceans, the scariest thing that happened to me was when I got pulled out by the rip current when I was a little kid. I'd like to see the ocean try that nonsense on me now.

Rollercoasters. Seriously. Those suck.

Open water, rollercoasters, heights, public speaking, drugs, meeting new people whilst sober etc

I just mean at the beach and stuff


Like, I don't really like going in farther than up to my chest, but if I could see the bottom (like in tropical places) I would have no problem just swimming around like I do in my pool. :shrug:



Aslo, rollercoasters

Used to love them but ever since I ended up in the hospital after my last amusement park trip I'm pretty terrified of them. I don't even like seeing them on tv and stuff tbh. :/

This. Don't so much mind being on a boat, but when swimming in the ocean where it's deeper than I can stand, I always think a shark is going to swim under me and bite my balls off or something.

I also get fearful of getting in a car accident when I'm riding in a car, and not driving, on I-95 at over 80 mph in a heavily populated area like Miami, Orlando, or Jacksonville. I mean, dying in a car accident is one of the worst ways to go out, and sadly, one of the most common.

Huge storms. I think they're cool, but I always have a recurring nightmare of tornadoes heading towards me. I've never even seen a tornado in real life, but just the thought of something so powerful and uncontrolled is unsettling.

Heights. or falling from heights.
