android-> apple app

I originally was an apple user, when I purchased the ultimate guitar app and several add-ons ( around $10ish in purchases). Just recently I changed to an android user and I'm wondering if there is any way I can download the app onto my android without repurchasing it. Thanks in advance. :)

Despite having almost identical functionality, our apps for iPhone and Android are, nevertheless are different apps, developed separately for two completely different mobile platforms.
Therefore, it is technically impossible to transfer your purchases from one platform to another. Thank you for your understanding.

I am in the same boat - had an Android phone, purchased the app, now have an Iphone.
UG admin: what about offering a 'return customer' discount, in the very least??
Paying a second time for the same product on a different platform feels like I'm getting ripped off / UG is double dipping.. on an App that should be free from the get-go. After all, UG is a User Submitted Site, and all your app does is display other peoples property.
Thanks for reading my vent

Same boat here also.
Originally purchased on Apple and now they want more money for Android.
No one likes to pay for a CD twice as it works on all players.
Just feels wrong and we are also cheap.

Yeah same here. Bought it on iOS but moved to android. Pretty pathetic that they want us to believe paying twice is necessary. Ever heard of user accounts? Let us log into accounts that bear record of our purchases and work across devices. I don't need two gmail accounts because I have different platforms. I don't buy a new CD every time I upgrade my stereo.

This is just another cheap money grab like these INCESSANT audio ads theyve added to their site. I hope piracy costs these clowns every red cent they squeeze from their community. One more lost customer here, so long and thanks for all the fish.

seriously why pay for lifetime if its only good on one platform

Seriously? It's technically impossible is a bull answer. I switch from android to an iPhone and wanted my favorite app so I downloaded it. Scratch that, I paid three dollars and then downloaded it! At that point I figured I can log into my account and sync all of my purchases and features. So I logged into my account and just like I thought it synced my favorites no problem. Then I hit restore purchases to get my features back and it says no restore found or whatever. My count could clearly show that I paid for these features already and that it should allow me to download the iPhone version of them instead of having to pay again. But it doesn't. I found this old thread and I'm not happy with his answer. Not a good way to build a community when someone's already paid more for this app then the vast majority of apps cost. I don't plan on looking back at this forum so if something can be done I would appreciate you guys contacting me directly. If you do I will post an update.. otherwise if you're reading this they didn't do anything to make it right by paying customers.

I have been using UG since it started, long, long ago.

I am an acomplished guitarist, and modest obviously (bear with me - I'm making a point), so I never really needed the app, but I bought it and a couple of Add-on's for my iPhone a couple of years ago just to support the efforts of the community and site admins.

Like others though, I now use an Android.

I am astonished that this is how it is here, I also develop App's and with the way the marketplace in mobile technology is, you simply MUST allow for device changes by your user base.

THIS IS WRONG - YOU ARE STEALING FROM YOUR USER BASE (COMMUNITY)!

Find a way to resolve this, honestly, it is not fair on any level and I for one will never use UG again until I find out you have dealt with this issue.

I am sorry, but there it is.

Goodbye UG.

P.S. This...
