Drop G, chango samples, heavies

First off, don't take the title seriously (to those who it may offend)

threw this together in a couple of minutes to test how well I could get down-tuned tones. Strings are WAY too floppy :x

"Strings are WAY too floppy :x"

So ironic looking at the song title XD

Honestly the only band that plays in Drop G that I like is Born Of Osiris, and that doesn't include even lower bands like Meshuggah and AAL.

Anyway, I thought this was fun to listen to! I liked the outro riff.

Wow, that made my day \m/ subscribe man, I'll write a song just for you!
Best part, I did this on a 6-string ;D

iRaiseTheDead 02-07-2013 03:34 PM

If anyone would like to throw some vocals on it or even collab on a song(s) hit me up :D

Correct string gauge as well as tension on the neck, etc make a big difference when going that low on a 6 string. You can really hear how weak held notes, especially palm mutes lack power. I wouldn't bother trying to tone test until you've got a guitar properly set up.

It was definitely fun to listen to, reminds me of the stuff I listen to in the morning to get hyped up for the day.

Hey thanks man, I appreciate it :D I'm going to be reworking some things and re-recording and putting out a free album/EP :D Feel free to subscribe and you'll be one of first to know when that drops :p

Generic deathcore at it's worst. Just because you have a low tuning doesn't make it heavy. I also like the fact that you say you don't mean to offend with the title, although it sounds like a attempt at a death metal-like track title by a 15 year old.

Thank you sir! That's what I was going for.I'm aware of scales, thank you for asking! <3
