Bands That Have Never Sucked
 

Which bands have been consistantly good, and not had a bad ('load', risk', Swansong, 'the final cut') type of era?



Tool, Deftones, King Crimson

ITT: Post your favourite band whilst idiots tell you why your opinion is wrong.

Smiths, Blur, Gorillaz, Cocteau Twins, John Frusciante (or maybe his first record is rather terrible), Libertines, Babyshambles Tom Waits - imo.

I wouldn't say any of the above are amongst my favourite bands really. Apart from Frusciante. But all of my favourite bands have released some mediocre/terrible material which I can't say the above ones really have. I tend to find the stable, consistent bands rarele if ever manage to get a top spot for me but they will always be considered good/great bands worthy of listening to when they are on/played but few of these are bands I actually would put on whilst listening to music.

My Bloody Valentine I'd add too.

Tool is shit, Deftones have shit albums, King Crimson became boring and shitty.

Actual good bands: none

All bands have always been shit.

Pink Floyd. In spite of the OP, 'The Final Cut' was basically a Waters solo album where he used the other band members at his convenience.

I can't think of any Buddy Guy albums that I don't like.

I don't think I've heard a bad Billy Talent album. Same with Machine Head.
