Good Finger Picking Tunes

I'm seriously trying to improve my fingerpicking technique, which songs are good to practice fingerpicking with? I'll try to down load some mp3s or something. Oh, what are some good fingerpicking drills to work on, normally i just hold down a chord and pick in a pattern but now i want to pick more melodic and sound more musical. Thanks.

loggins and messina- love song and danny's song.
if you can master the finger picking on these songs you're good to go... oldie but goodie.

hmmm, most of these tunes i haven't heard of. But thanks a lot, guys, i'll try to download some of these tunes and learn them. Oh what are some good ways to work on Fingerpicking? How do YOU practice?

Arlo Guthrie - Alice's Restaurant

Elton John - Your Song (check guitarnoise.com)

G. Love - Gimme Some Lovin' (wish I could play this)

Loggins and Messina - House at Pooh Corner

I've never tried fingerpicking exercises...IMO, they're kind of pointless. I'd rather skip the middle man and just start practicing the actual song.

opeth-anything

clapton-hey hey and zeppelin- going to california
will both REALLY improve your technique because they both have bass lines with the thumb and insane fingerpicking with your other fingers.
good stuff, takes a while to get used to

whatever

haha is it really possible that no one has said classical gas yet? amazing! but yeah classical gas (mason williams) and blackbird (the beatles) and dust in the wind (kansas) are my favorite fingerpickin songs. oh and also it was indeed lynyrd skynyrd who did the original simple man, but beware because there's also a completely different song by charlie daniel's band also called simple man. you don't want to download that looking for fingerpicking.

First day of my life - Bright eyes.

Great song.

Creed - One Last Breath. I can't believe no one has said that yet!
