Ildjarn

Normally i dislike music where the quality is super bad, but not so with Ildjarn.... For some reason, Forest Poetry is like F***in awesome.... the quaility is so crappy, but the way his screams just flow with the guitar and the drums is really sweet... probolly one of the best black-metal albulms in my book.... i also love his ambient cds, both the one just by Ildjarn and the duo ones, great stuff there....

duncang 09-27-2006 03:45 PM

Like Burzum, but a bit better.

kirkisking 09-27-2006 03:50 PM

Fuck Burzum. Ildjarn owns.

haha.... .i don't know mate, i like Burzum, BUT IlDJARN OWNS TOTALLY! :D

mydadisjewish 09-27-2006 03:54 PM

way more raw than burzum, and varg is totally a better drummer. however, i really dig the primative nature of ildjarn. i started a thread on them a while back. use the "search" button, just for future reference

i got forest poetry

tarem 09-27-2006 03:58 PM

oops.... i thought i did a search for Ildjarn and didn't find anything, dang.

Icarus66 09-27-2006 05:30 PM

Awful.

RingmasterTJ 09-27-2006 06:32 PM

ildjarns music is probolly some of the best music by a single man, right up there with Burzum and Bathory....

tarem 05-27-2007 05:31 PM

bumpity...

i have to say, i still listens to Ildjarn a couple times a week, unlike other crummy bands that get me bored, Ildjarn never does!

I can't believe how much i've grown musically becouse of this forum... tis really great!

MoogleRancha 09-28-2009 10:30 AM

Forest Poetry!! \m/

matt85210 09-28-2009 11:47 AM

*joins the "This Sucks" brigade*

Burzum, IMO, is far better.

Mind Kill 09-28-2009 03:49 PM

Yeah... for me it's pretty mediocre actually...

I'm normally more inclined to listen to progressive and technical metal, but I found the same thing with Ildjarn. It just makes sense. And it's beautiful, even if harsh.

DeathByDestroyr 09-28-2009 05:11 PM

Wow, that is some production! I tend to have a limit for black metal production, and this crosses it (but barely).

I'e heard better. Those of you saying that its better than Burzum should listen to more burzum, more forest-like. And the rune magic helps too.

As far as one-man bands are concerned, Leviathan anybody?

MoogleRancha 08-20-2010 11:30 PM

Amazing artist right here. I'm shocked at the lack of fellation for this guy.

linfield4466 08-20-2010 11:48 PM

I feel the same way, I've loved every minute of what I've heard. It's been a while since I've discovered any fresh black metal.

MoogleRancha 08-20-2010 11:49 PM

Same. That's why I popped in the only Ildjarn "album" that I haven't heard. It's amazing thus far.

Thank Satan there's someone else on here that loves his work other than me...

But then again, how could I doubt you Linny? <3

And me! :(

Although I still haven't heard Det Frysende Nordariket. Should get around to that.

AnnihiSlateR 08-21-2010 05:36 AM

I know Conservationist recc'd me a few albums a while back, but ive still not got round to them.

I do have Hardangervidda part 1, and its magical to say the least.
