Any fans? didn't really find anything relatable to Burzum on here so i thought i may start one. If you don't like it you can kill it.

Any opinions on Varg and the music?

I personally like the stuff hes done with guitars instead of those albums he made with keyboards or whatever.

Any one having problems finding Burzum in local stores?

As of Varg LMAO here http://www.burzum.org/eng/library/a_bards_tale08.shtml he changes his mind again. Now he's slowly taking side of reason and science. Where in other articles i've read him slamming on science, that all scientists have is theory and guesses. Nonetheless interesting guy to read to kill your time.

Any one knows what he used to believe proir this?

"Burzum" can't be found at any store taht doens't stock black metal, most stores don't, explaining why it's hard to find "Burzum" records.

Real name: Kristian Vikernes

Stage Name: Count Grishnackh (A character from Lord of The Rings)

Played bass previously in Mayhem

Murdered "Euronymous" guitarist and band leader of Mayhem before and during Vikernes's bass playing

Aided in various church burnings in Norway

"Burzum" means "darkness" in Black Speech of Morder, a language from LOTR

I don't know alot about Varg, but **** HIM for killing Euronymous (dunno how it's spelled)!!! Mayhem was a better band.
But the song War kicks ass.

As to his personal beliefs, he was a starter of the Odalist movement. (more on the odalist movement can be found on wikipedia). Religionwise, he is vehemontly anti-christian and is a proponent of the Ásatrú religion.

He is a very interesting person and I enjoy his music, whether it be the early Burzum or the prison-recorded synth music.

Luuuuuuuurrrve Burzum, whether it be his black metal works or ambient stuff, almost all of it is jizz-worthy.

I'm probably one of the biggest Burzum fans around here...

i used to have a Varg avatar.

on the new article he has up, i'm not exactly sure whats he saying.... Although he's right on a few points, i'm not sure if he's saying gods don't exist, or spirits don't exist. Anway, Varg is just sitting around in his cell thinking all day, so he comes of with different ideas a lot.

soo, i don't think his beliefs have changed that much.

I don't agree with a lot of points about religion he makes.

and if you hadn't, look in the picture section, some of them makes varg look like a model, its hilarious.

His last two albums were extremely lame.
The only song I really like at all is Dunkelheit, and even then the Reverend Bizarre cover of it is waaaaaay better.

i really love some of his stuff, but then i really fucking hate some of it as well.

It must have had enough impact to have burzum.org put a notice out that they werent involved in myspace.

God, the song war is terrible. I can't stand that song. But I like what I've heard from after the self-titled, save the ambient bit.

Pretty good stuff, at least his (their?) ambient stuff. Got one of his albums off Bittorrent (don't ask me to type it out), good stuff. Reminded me of the Harry Potter soundtrack :p:

Mayhem is much better, but anyways Burzum's music is great.

You're an idiot. Mayhem had one good release: De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas, and Varg's only weak release was Daudi Baldrs.
