Proud owner of a not-so-prideful RG7321. It actually feels weak to play 6-strings now...

hmmm_de_hum 06-03-2007 01:11 PM

:headbang:

Ibanez S7320 owner, apparently only one of 3 in the UK?

any clarification on that? i know i haven't seen another UK owner of one

FearTheD 06-03-2007 01:19 PM

hey, im fairly certain im going to get a schecter damien 7. i only had one worry though, does the 7th string like get in the way at all for like drop-d stuff?

zparticus 06-03-2007 01:20 PM

you can drop the b string so it'll be one deep freaking drop tuning

FearTheD 06-03-2007 01:22 PM

alright. i'll soon be joining the 7 string legion ;)

godofshred 06-03-2007 01:22 PM

not at all, you will learn to navigate around it in hours

ive had mine for 3 days and i feel at home already.

dead fish- 7321's are the sex, dont downtalk it!:P

hmmm_de_hum i havent seen any so far, what are stock pups in it?

scarfacesuit 06-03-2007 01:24 PM

i think for drop D the 7th string sounds even better... depending on what you're doing of course....

godofshred 06-03-2007 01:25 PM

that, and try half set or a full step down with a 7, pure insane.

hmmm_de_hum 06-03-2007 01:33 PM

They're just standard ibanez ones in that photo, same as the RG7321, but dont get me wrong they're pretty fantastic for stock pickups, i just prefer the D-sonic in the bridge really. Gotta wait for my next paycheck so i can get the Air norton 7 lol

Also i found for the drop D stuff, work around the 7th string, it will make your picking a whole lot neater and accurate.

godofshred 06-03-2007 01:34 PM

i have the d sonic in my jem, and let me tell ya, the evo goes fantastic with it, IMO better than the air nortan, give it a shot!!

im going bkp's in my rg :)

hmmm_de_hum 06-03-2007 01:42 PM

Ah ok might have to see what that sounds like in the neck position, i think ive just fallen in love with the S7420FM all over again. I have serious GAS for one of those with the blue flamed maple.....

Time to search Ebay i guess.... :p:

godofshred 06-03-2007 01:52 PM

HAHAH, im and rg man all over

hmmm_de_hum 06-03-2007 01:56 PM

Dunno but i cant see myself needing those extra 2 frets when i have my good old ZR trem, especially now as Ibanez might be releasing it separately...

(S7420FM - Lo pro 7 edge trem) + ZR trem in black =

Def 06-03-2007 01:58 PM

I dont know i seemed to have grown up a lot when it comes to the bar play now, i used to be doing harmonic squeals at every available point during a live set with my 6 (drop C and OFR) but now i like to use it a lot more tastefully, like when Vai or Petrucci use the very slight wobbles during slow solo's etc.

godofshred 06-03-2007 02:33 PM

cool, i may shoot for the uuber low action and decent play later
