BrainDamage 01-29-2008 03:00 PM

I'd view it more like an extension of the Zeppelin thread we have here :p:

Pingis_Or_Death 01-29-2008 03:08 PM

I enjoy classic rock once in a while, some Mountain, Ted Nugent and ac/dc... I've never really liked Zeppelin though...

BrainDamage is tied for my favorite mod now with Frenchy.

First topic? Literature? Lemons? Depraved sexual maneuvers? Help me out, guys.

Mark Twain is my favorite author.

I love the wit in his writing. He also has some of my favorite quotes of all time which I feel compelled to share with you all:

“It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt." - Mark Twain

"Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society." - Mark Twain

"Education: that which reveals to the wise, and conceals from the stupid, the vast limits of their knowledge." - Mark Twain

"If you tell the truth you don't have to remember anything." - Mark Twain

zeppelinpage4 01-29-2008 09:51 PM

Its a short story, about Lucifer, its a good read for an atheist, because it makes a mockery of organized religion :p:

It basically asks the question, how the hell do humans know about god? or what he does? or what he wants?

I think the funniest thing I read was this:

"Man is a marvelous curiosity. When he is at his very, very best he is a sort of low grade nickel-plated angel; at his worst he is unspeakable, unimaginable; and first and last and all the time he is a sarcasm."

it's all the funnier coming from Satan himself :haha

I had to find that quote in wikipedia though lol

*facepalm*

Just got Number of the Beast recently. Unfortunately, most of the other tracks don't seem to be as amazingly epic as Run to the Hills. :(

On a side note, I'm going to see a band tonight that has covered numerous King Crimson tunes (and has a chapman stick!) so I expect a reasonably entertaining experience.

vintage x metal 01-29-2008 11:41 PM

can beatles chat/song game people pop in sometimes too?

or is this a led zeppelin club for the most part? i already see use of the lemon inside joke lol

zeppelinpage4 01-30-2008 12:00 AM

Anyone's welcome Vintage X.

Twist of fate 01-30-2008 12:15 AM

That seems interesting, it wouldn't be Behold The Arctopus, would it? :p: they're the only band except King Crimson that I know uses a chapman stick...
