Instrumental only metal?

Anyone know of any good instrumental only metal bands that sound along the line of dream theater, trivium, killswitch engage, sepultra, or pantera,
any suggestions, or multiple would be helpful, and if at all possible list one of the bands previously listed bands that it comes close to
thanks

great suggestion! Michael Angelo Batio, Rusty Cooley, and Tony Macalpine are some pretty great choices for some great Instrumental Metal. I would also check out Behold The Arctopus.

BladeSlinger 08-26-2008 11:55 PM

John 5...Of course you could get the 3 Metallica instrumentals too.

Their debut album blew my mind, dude.

The atmosphere and texutre was near-Broadrick quality.

Amazing stuff. :golfclap:

Racer X

It's shred but hey it's still metal.

Jeff Loomis' solo album is pretty awesome.

eviledge87 08-27-2008 01:21 AM

Rusty Cooley is a good bet. He's definantly got a metal vibe to his playing.

Look in the rec thread. Oh and, you might be venturing into Post Rock for instrumental work that is actually good.
