Guys, how do you record synths ? I don't have hardware synths, I only use soft synths, so I record them directly inside my DAW without using mics, if I want to start recording them in a real room...

I was never able to get an ambient sound out of mine, it just seems to replicate whatever I play in an echo mode with clear notes definition no matter what.
